FFRF Life Member Gary King, who runs the Colorado Springs chapter, has created and donated enamel FFRF membership pins with a University of Wisconsin theme (they’re red) and wants them to go to any FFRF member who’s a University of Wisconsin alumni. So, if you’re a UW (any school) alumni and would like such a pin, contact us at shop@ffrf.org. This is a time-limited opportunity, so get it by Nov. 1. (Actual pin is 3/4 inch.) Thanks, Gary!
Lifetime Member Bill Schneider saw this hanging from a church in Montpelier, Vt. “It seems to indicate that God is a murderous arsonist, demonstrating this with a depiction of a bird on fire about to crash to its death!” he writes.
This month’s caption contest is a drawing by FFRF Life Member Scott Burdick of North Carolina. To enter, please write a humorous or witty caption for this picture. Email your response to caption@ffrf.org by Sept. 19. The winner, chosen by FFRF staff, will receive an FFRF T-shirt! We will announce the winner and top runners-up in the October issue.
Dave Bennett of California saw this marquee and commented, “So, God wants us to all live in the church? Also, is ‘partime’ when you finally start to play decent golf?”
